I’m a Puerto Rican student who moved to the United States at 17 to attend university. Two years later, I started learning Russian at Wesleyan University, having become fascinated by the political and cultural connections that were formed between Latin American countries and Russia throughout the Soviet period. I joined Tamizdat Project in order to continue learning more about these global cultural connections and to further improve my language skills.
