“The Last Soviet Artist” (N+1, 2025) is a new collection of graphic reportages by Victoria Lomasko, created during her travels across the former Soviet republics. The book explores life in Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Georgia, and Belarus, the last major protests in Russia before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, and the challenges of exile. At its core, it examines the generational conflict shaping the post-Soviet space.
“Tree of Violence” (2024), a documentary by Anna Moiseenko, follows Lomasko as she exposes the realities of Putin’s Russia. Her latest work traces the long reach of state-sponsored violence, from domestic abuse to political repression, as she faces growing threats to her safety.
Lomasko combines text and image in her work—graphic novels, murals, and comics—to document injustice and give a voice to the unheard.
