Description

Arestovich is the first picaresque novel to be written about the current world war. It is an organic extension of this genre's debut work, written about the First World War - Ilya Ehrenburg's Julio Jurenito - but also parodies all picaresque novels at once, from The Lame Devil to Harry Potter. And it is about the most interesting character in contemporary history. Arestovich will one day take its place alongside the Ilf and Petrov's Bender duology.
