Description

At last a chorus of women becomes audible, one usually lost in the din of the state machinery. A portrait — feminist, poetic, affectionate, and full of rage and humor — of Putin’s Russia by a brilliant new talent in Russian literature, who for years was one of the “girls” of this book, until she had to go into exile because of her activism.
