"From the author: ""Unfortunately, I have certain memories that I will probably never share, but these notes, written from memory, let them stay with me. Here is the town of Bucha near Kiev, under shelling... You should know and remember that the war shown by the media and the real war are very different, even if you are not a participant but a witness of the events. The shocking information flow, covering the general panorama of what is happening in the country and the world, becomes an everyday addition to the life of the majority. Life itself is simplified to a tense expectation of the denouement, the end. Shattered destinies, tired looks, the tiresome despondency of people — all this is looking for a way out, behind which some kind of freedom, still or already incomprehensible"". Perhaps there is nothing to add: yes, this book is the records of a man from Bucha about his experiences in the year 2022. But it is more than just an account of events. It is a book not only about war, but indeed about freedom, including freedom of thought, a testimony of the greatest calm fortitude."
