Description

“All these possible lives: would they be real anywhere else? His thin shoulders, his head, which he had started shaving, our inability to live together, my things scattered across the floor, all that sand collected in the bathroom: the Airbnb apartment, the ginger dog.

You can stop loving suddenly, like falling, I said that evening to my phone, and perhaps to my husband too. It’s not the opposite of love, it’s love’s possible tender continuation...”

A touching and subtle book that reminds us that the world is filled with poetry just as much as with real objects.
