Чудовий подарунок для тих, хто цікавиться українським правозахисним рухом в СРСР другої половини 20 ст. та діаспорним книговиданням.
“In the 1950s and 1960s, in the era of post-Stalinist spiritual freedom, three plays appeared in Ukraine, in which greater or lesser attempts were made to reveal the crimes of the Soviet regime. These were: “Wings” by O. Korniychuk (1954), “Forbidden to Be Silent” by V. Mynk (1955) and “At the Bottom of the Sea” by M. Rudenko (1960). At this time, the following appeared in Moscow: “The Thaw” by I. Ehrenburg, “Not on the Only Bread” by V. Dudintsev and “One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich” by A. Solzhenitsyn.
