This novel is one of the first attempts to tell about today's war using the language of fiction. It is about war, about self-justification, and about life choice. Everything begins in Washington, then there is a flashback to the summer of 1994 in Moscow; later the action takes place in Istanbul, Berlin, Paris, Moscow again… and finally, Mariupol. Mariupol in April, 2022.
