Belarus, 2017. On a new train traveling from Minsk to Homiel, two passengers, Albina and Mania, swap seats. The next day brings terrible news: they have swapped not only seats but bodies. Each wakes up in someone else’s bed, and now Mania from the village of Aleshniki has to go to court as a judge, while Albina has to build a relationship with Mania’s husband Tolik, who didn’t come home last night. This mystical-realist novel begins as a comedy of intrigue, but the further it goes, the more it turns into a social drama. And although miracles happen right up to the last page, will they help the heroines cope with their complicated lives?
