Большое спасибо за Ваше предложение издать повесть Л. Чуковской под нашей издательской маркой. Я не получил еще второй половины повести – так как не имею еще 84-й книги «Нового Журнала». Как только получу ее (это будет на днях), – передам ее – повесть – вместе с моим (конечно, весьма положительным) заключением-письмом консультанту моего основного деньгодателя – м-ра Э. Клайна. Сразу же сообщу Вам о результатах моих переговоров по этому поводу.
Many thanks for your proposal to publish the novella by L. Chukovskaia under the brand of our publishing house. I haven't received the second half of the novella yet since I don't yet have the 84th volume of Novyi Zhurnal. As soon as I receive it (this will be any day now), I will pass on the novella along with my (very positive, of course) evaluation letter to the advisor of my main benefactor, Mr. E. Kline. I will inform you immediately of the results of my negotiations on this matter.
