В № 52 «Граней» я прочел с большим интересом «Сказание о синей мухе». Эту вещь я видел в прошлом году в рукописи в Англии. Снисходительно-пренебрежительный отзыв о ней Ю.К. Терапиано в «Русской мысли» меня огорчил и разочаровал. Вещь интересна и с литературной точки зрения, а в «политическом» отношении она острее Терца. Что касается стихов из «Феникса», то они, конечно, интересны, но поэтическая ценность их, увы! невелика (в этом отношении Евтушенко, к сожалению, прав).

I read “The Tale of the Bluebottle” in No. 52 of Grani with great interest. I saw this work last year as a manuscript in England. The condescending and dismissive review of it by Yu. K. Terapiano in Russkaia Mysl’ upset and disappointed me. The work is interesting from the literary point of view, and in the “political” respect it is sharper than Tertz. As for the poems from Feniks, they are, of course, interesting, but their poetic value, alas! is small (in this respect, Yevtushenko, unfortunately, is right).
