«Н<овое> Р<усское> Слово» от 30-го июля <…> еще не дошел до меня <…>. Поэтому ничего не могу сказать о гулевском отчете об очередной книге «Нового Журнала». Но позицию его в отношении Шаламова знаю, ей сочувствую и готов простить ему все резкости (особенно в отношении З.А. Шаховской) <…>.
