Спасибо за письмо. Как я уже писал, прибавлять что-либо к сборнику Бродского уже поздно — книга напечатана, вчера мне должны были быть высланы экземпляры, из которых я буду рассылать по полученным мною заказам (Вы тоже получите тогда).
В письме Бродского Гринбергу я никакой «загадки» не вижу. Не знаю, что Вы имеете в виду. «Преступление» Гринберга к Бродскому не имеет абсолютно никакого отношения, но писать об этом я сейчас не хочу и не могу. Его поведение в отношении меня с письмом Бродского — не преступление, но свинство. За напечатание стихов Бродского я его ничуть не осуждаю — я бы на его месте поступил так же, и даже после получения письма Б<родско>го. <…>
P.S. «Воздушные Пути» очень интересны. Но я бы не сказал, что они «удались» Гринбергу: в них много ошибок, много самомненного невежества, а есть и возмутительные вещи (а также и некоторая редакторская бестактность).
Thank you for the letter. As I’ve written before, it is already too late to add anything to Brodsky’s volume. The book is already published, and yesterday some sample copies were supposed to be sent to me, some of which I will later send out as per the orders I have received (you will also receive them then).
In Brodsky's letter to Grynberg I don’t see any “mystery” whatsoever. I don’t understand what you mean. Grynberg’s “crime” has absolutely no connection to Brodsky, but at this time I cannot and do not want to write about it. His behavior towards me and toward Brodsky’s letter is not a crime but a disgusting indecency. I don’t judge him for his publication of Brodsky’s poems at all. In his place, I would’ve done the same thing, perhaps even after having received Brodsky’s letter. <…>
P.S. Vozdushnye Puti is very interesting but I wouldn’t say that it is Grynberg’s great success. It contains many errors, a lot of self-righteous ignorance, and even some outrageous points (as well as some editorial tactlessness).
