Итак, рукопись [романа Василия Гроссмана «Все течет»] буду очень ждать. Чеховскому изд<ательст>ву я могу предложить, у меня с ними отношения хорошие. И они могут напечатать независимо от того, пойдет ли это в Н<овом> Ж<урнале> (это их не стесняет). Они вот хотят выпустить рассказы Шаламова, кот<орые> шли в Н<овом> Ж<урнале>. И у меня еще есть их довольно много. В свое время я двумя путями получил две разные рукописи.
So, I will be waiting for the manuscript [of Vasily Grossman’s Vse Techet]. I can offer it to the Chekhov Publishing House, I am on good terms with them. And they can print it regardless of whether it is published in Novyi Zhurnal (it does not constrain them). They want to publish Shalamov’s short stories, which were published in Novyi Zhurnal. And I still have quite a lot of them. Some time ago I received two different manuscripts, via two different channels.
